Prospectus
“If the purpose of art is to explode the perceptions of those who view it, this show will explode people’s view and understanding of what the Sedona Public Library means to them.” – David Keeber
Criteria: Artwork must
be made from books, book parts, or three-dimensional facsimiles of printed
material. Two-dimensional
representations of books are acceptable if parts of books are used in its
making. Artwork doesn’t have to be about
the “library”.

Opening Reception Sunday
Evening, Feb. 25th 5:00 pm – 8 pm
Take-Down Sat., March
31st 10:00am – 2:00pm
Eligibility: Paid membership in the Sedona Visual Artists’

Entry Fee: $15.00 for the first piece, $5.00 for each
additional piece (Non-refundable). Make
check payable to SVAC and mail, along with completed application, to Judy
Mendoza, 55 North
Commentary: A brief description of your artwork to be
placed by your piece should be Emailed to Judy Mendoza at: judyartdoza@sedona.net or mailed to Judy by Feb. 8th.
Sales: All sales will be handled by the Friends of
the Library with a 50/50 split between the artist and the library. SVAC is not taking a commission for any
sales.
Opening Reception: Sunday evening, Feb 25th
5 - 8. Hosted by Friends of the Library and is free
for all participating artists. The
general public will be charged a $10.00 donation, the proceeds going to fund
the reception expenses.
Artist Book: Each artist will have two pages in the artist
book. Bring this material to the
take-in.
Press: Email
images, 300 DPI, size 5 x 7, to Judy Mendoza, judyartdoza@sedona.net as soon as
possible for inclusion in press releases.
