SVAC-FYI appears in your inbox every Monday AM. All info must be submitted
to "SVAC-FYI@hotmail.com" by Friday, 10:00 PM, to be included the following
Monday. Submissions received after the Friday deadline will be included in
the next week's issue.
GUIDELINES FOR SVAC-FYI POSTINGS: Remember the Who, What, Why, When and Where Rules! Please State who (organization or person) is putting on the event. Always include contact information. Be Clear about what the event is (craft sale, a juried show, a new book, etc.) If the event has a title, include it. State the date, times and locations. Include a sentence or two that gives readers an idea of why this event is interesting or a good opportunity. Email your announcement in a plain text format that permits a copy and paste function easily. It's acceptable to create your announcement within your email message. Do not submit or include images, jpegs, bitmaps or copies of website pages. Do not include files that end in .doc. Use a plain text editor (files that end in .txt) for large announcements that must be sent as attachments. And please, do not submit articles in all caps. If you wish to emphasize parts of your announcement, then advise which sentences should be either italicized or bold. Announcements sent to the FYI Editor in all caps or as websites may not make it to the FYI list due to the enormous amount of work required to retype the announcement. Keep It Brief! 150 words is a good size for most announcements; 250 words will be more than adequate for nearly everything. Please Note that the SVAC-FYI only comes out once a week. Your announcements should precede the event at least a week in advance; timely notifications will reach more people, bringing in larger audiences to the event. |
