Our Show’s attendance is up because ninety-plus SVAC members worked together to make this year’s fall show, Beneath The Surface, the best attended and critically acclaimed show in the short history of our coalition Thanks and Kudos to each and every one of you/us.

Next up is Open Studios Planning! Please let Jean know if you think you would like to participate May1-2, 2010. We need organizers!

Date: Thursday, November 12, Discussion of the Show

Location: “Beneath the Surface” Gallery at Tlaquepaque

Time: 6:00 pm Dessert Potluck, 7:00 pm Meeting & Program

Come and discuss the art on display with other members. It is a great chance to verbalize what it is you like about any piece in the show and, in the process, to lend to the artists phrases they may be able to use in their future publicity. Good discussions potentially couch the soulful inside the humorous.

Date: Saturday, November 14 SVAC at “Walkin’ on Main”, an annual street fair in Cottonwood. Here’s yet another opportunity to show your work…If you have any display equipment, (walls, pedestals, display cases) and wish to set up under the big tent on Main Street in Cottonwood for their popular Walkin’ On Main event, call RICK GANDOLFO at 282-0918 or Avanti@esedona.net for more information. You must put up, take down, watch and handle any sales of your work.

Date: Sunday, November 15, 3:00 PM

Location: BTS Gallery at Tlaquepaque— an interlude with SVAC member, Bonnie Hartenstein, who will lead a Gallery discussion of works on exhibit in BTS. Bonnie was represented by the Jan Ciceros Gallery in Chicago for many years. She has exhibited internationally and taught at Chicago Art Institute and privately out of her studio in Chicago Her work is in corporate collections, including Delotte & Touche, Oak Creek Hyatt Regency, and Helmut Jahns’ Illinois State Building.

Date: Thursday, November 19, 9 AM till noon— Take-Down of BTS exhibit.

You must make arrangements to pick up your work during this time.

Date: Thursday, December 17, from 5 PM - 8 PM—

Tenth Annual SVAC Holiday Party.

Location: Sedona Community Center at Melody and Harmony, behind the car wash. Take out your sharpies and indelibly mark your calendars for the. Do not even think about missing this event. In order to properly celebrate our common interests and achievements and to toast our future plans, we need to see your shining face there, eating the ham and turkey provided by the Coalition and enjoying the drinks provided by the Coalition and the potluck contributions from members, such as yourself and dancing to the live music of Jeannie Carroll. Remember the needy. Please bring a Toy for the Toys for Tots Program and non-perishable food for the Food Bank.
